What a rubbish!

Dear All,

This post is dedicated to the ones that are easily replaced and forgotten – our daily objects. Whether you just grew out of it or if you are a confessed hoarder keeping objects in a dusty garage, it’s hard for these “little guys” to survive in today’s world where binge consumerism seems to prevail.

Having that in mind I would like to pay a homage to childhood toys, pairs of shoes, books, VCRs, impulsive IKEA purchases and other items that have been discarded along the way and share in the amazing recycled art of Robert Bradford. His mind blowing sculptures are made from thousands of plastic objects screwed onto wood, consisting mainly of outgrown kid’s toys. Up to 3000 pieces of plastic are used per sculpture, avoiding going into landfill and giving a completely different meaning to what was considered rubbish. Long live the objects!

Speaking of garbage, have you seen the Vik Muniz’s Pictures of Garbage series? It’s amazing.

How quirky – one person’s trash is another person’s treasure… how true
