The ‘G-SHOCK: Shock the World Tour’ landed in Sydney last week for its 9th destination of the 12 city tour.  The G-SHOCK World Tour has visited major cities around the world including Tokyo, Milan, Paris and Barcelona.  The tour celebrated the iconic watch for its famous durability and fashion significance.  Style tribes of skaters, DJ’s and sneaker freakers were there in force to compare their G-SHOCK loyalty.

VIP guests were treated to hearing the G-Shock story from the  ’Father of G-Shock’, Kikuo Ibe.  He told his story along side a visual presentation of a manga style animation of his journey.

The event was hosted by Jonathan Pease who is a well known ‘Style Director’ within Australia.  Tangent was lucky enough to drag Jonathan away from DJ M.A.F.I.A’s fierce beats to tell us about G-SHOCK from a fashion perspective.  He also talked  about his own design for his limited edition Jonathan Pease G-SHOCK watch,which matched perfectly with his limited edition shark skin turquoise Nike’s, (we love!).
