In a week one of Australia’s longest running and most successful Artist Run Initiatives will re-open! Yes after 4 months, Firstdraft do up will open it’s doors to an exciting new gallery space for emerging new artists to speak up. They are open to a diverse range of artistic practices and projects.

For next week’s opening you can walk through the four galleries with works from artists amira.h., Alice Lang, David Sullivan, Lachlan Anthony and David Withers. The exhibition will continue until the 21st of March 2010 with an artist talk on the last day at 4:30 pm.

Firstdraft is also on the lookout for new volunteers for the 2010 program. They are looking for someone with a true passion for art, easy going and possessing good customer service skills, independent, happy to take on responsibility and be available to commit to a minimum of 6 hours per week (Wed to Sun) to the gallery space. If that sounds like your kind of volunteering you have 3 days to put an A4 CV together and a 150 word statement outlining why you are interested in joining the Firstdraft team. Applicants must be available for an interview this Sunday, 28/02/10, at Firstdraft.
