We’re accessorizing!

It’s that time of year again.  For the past week, London’s fashion elite have congregated at Somerset house to check out the latest creations from the world’s top designers.

The Prime Minister’s lady, Sarah Brown, officially set the ball rolling by opening fashion week, followed by a minute’s silence as a touching tribute to the late Lee Alexander McQueen, by British Fashion Council’s chairman, Harold Tilman.

But, whilst the colourful creations were paraded on the catwalks, when it comes to our own wardrobes we’re still very much in Winter Mode, bundled up in winter coats and hats and scarves, and let’s face it, it can be difficult to be stylish when the prime goal is to keep warm.

Luckily, as always, the London high street seems to be one step ahead of us.  Until it’s time to dust off our summer dresses, the shops are filled with dazzling accessories to brighten up even the dullest of winter get ups.

Earrings are truly flamboyant, skimming shoulders with an almost chandelier-like quality.
