Penthouse Mouse 2010
March in Melbourne is an exciting time, where anticipation builds for one of the most unique celebrations of fashion in this country. Not only does the L’oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival showcase Australia’s best, it also features several cultural programs, affiliated exhibitions and events to support emerging talent from this fair city down south. Penthouse Mouse 2010 is one such affiliate program, and often as greatly anticipated by the fashion masses as the LMFF itself.

This year’s Penthouse Mouse opened on Friday 5th March to a packed out party-crowd at Melbourne’s former Naval & Military Club in Coates Lane in the CBD. Industry types, media, bloggers and hipsters alike enjoyed the chilled Asahi and wandered through the installations and artworks for the first time, and took in this year’s exhibition; a significant bounty.

Contributing labels include Trimäpee, Subfusco, Autonomy, Limedrop and From Britten. Accessories are aplenty with contributions from Estelle Deve, Does Not Equal, Anna Mason and Gail Sorronda. And just when you thought you could look but not touch, all the pieces on display are for sale. Not only are there pretty things to wear, but the exhibition is keynoted by several installations and artworks contributed by the likes of James Carey, Volker Haug & Chris Nash, Simon Boucher, Studio Organic and many more.

The venue is open 11 – 9pm daily, so head on down to Penthouse Mouse 2010 before doors close on Friday 19th March. Stay tuned to Tangent for updates on PHM Events this week!
