Fernando Frisoni was a much-awaited show with a front row including Lara Bingle and Jennifer Hawkins, who was sporting one of the designers outfits. A narrow red catwalk replaced the usually wide aisles of the cargo theatre and the models wore outfits to compliment, in blocks of black, white and striking red and pink. Fernando’s signature layering was present amongst clean cuts and sculpturally designed silhouettes. Models stormed out three at a time ensuring the parade was as speedy as it was delayed in starting, but it was nevertheless a memorable show of the week. Striking, is perhaps the best word to describe it in terms of structure, layering, colour and attitude. The namesake designer, who unfolded him self from the ranks of Nicola Finetti only a few seasons ago left no doubt that he has a strong style identity of his own when it comes to sophisticated tailoring and prevailing detail, dominated by layering.
