If you haven’t heard of Riley Keough, there is no doubt you will soon. Riley is tipped to be the next big model on the international photographic circuit, and is also making her screen debut in “The Runaways” staring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning due out in July. She is absolutely destined for stardom- it’s in her blood. She is none other than the granddaughter of Rock n Roll.

Elvis’s grandchild is no stranger to the trappings of fame; her ex stepfathers include Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage and her mother is Lisa Marie Presley.

You may recognise Riley as the face of Miss Dior Cherie fragrance, or have even seen her in campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger and Mango. Unlike many other offspring of the celebrity variety, Riley is deserving of her status as international model. Her refined bone structure and piercing eyes are not only a striking resemblance to The King, but the features of one of the world’s most beautiful women. Although she is only 5’7” (relatively short, by model standards) she has been featured on the runways for Dolce and Gabbana, Christian Dior, Victoria’s Secret and Anna Sui.

Riley insists that although she is blessed with powerful heritage, she has still had to earn her stripes in the world of fashion and film. She had to audition several times, and do a screen test before she was cast in The Runaways, not bad for her first ever audition. Riley is a method actor and spent considerable time with the real Marie Currie in preparation for her role. Although Riley’s role in the film is the least glamorous, her beauty shines through and captivates the audience, even with the most minimal dialog. She looks just as chic 70’s inspired ‘runaways’ wardrobe as she does on the red carpet.

Riley self confesses that she is ‘naturally introverted and shy’ and gives interviews hesitantly. In the few occasions in which she has spoken to the press, the issue of Scientology is always off limits. Her father musician Danny Keough met Lisa Marie at a Scientology centre, four years before Riley was born. She attended the Scientology based Clearwater Academy as a child, and was home schooled by her parents in the religion.

She has worked with the most prestigious names in fashion; the Miss Dior Cherie campaign was directed by John Galliano photographed by the legendary Nick Knight. Annie Leibovitz, shot the three generations of Presley’s for the cover of US Vogue, and as of late she is a red carpet darling. To top it all off, Riley has just finished shooting “The Good Doctor” staring Orlando Bloom, due out later this year. 2010 is going to be the year of Riley Keough, Not just a fashion chameleon, but an enviable celebrity.
