Catwalk– To- Couch??
Should I, Would I, could I- try this at home??
Suuuure you should, ‘I’ would AND you could!! Lets get ‘creative’ girlfrieeens! Winters NOT aaall about the ‘autumnal shades’ you know, SOMETIMES a gal needs a lil summn’ summn’ to break through those winter chills (and to complement your hot new ‘boots n bag’ combo – ofcourse!!) AND luckily- I’m just the gal to show you ‘how’, and ensure that you receive a massive (wide eyed!) “WOW” wherever you may go! SO my pretties – dust off those facial glitter pots (circa 1992-you KNOW you all had one!!), grab a brush, and lets get started!
A Trace of Base:
Step 1: As you all would (or should) know by now (makeup lesson 101 revision boys an’ gals!) –Tip: The secret to a ‘beautiful’ breathtaking makeup- begins with a ‘beautiful base’. SO, grab yourself le base of choice (well prepped, primed and moisturised skin a must!) and apply sparingly (remembering-‘less IS more’)…only cover what needs covering AS a lil fresh ‘virgin cheek’ here and there works wonders!
A bit of a Cheek:
Step 2: Whether creating a ‘work that contour!’ Alexis Carrington-Dallas/Dynasty-esque 80’s inspired pout OR a 90’s- meets-Naughties Calvin klein-esque ‘cos I’m keepin it real’- look- a lil apple on the cheek at ALL times is the way to go, AND today is no exception to that rule! Grab yourself a cream or powder blush in a light pretty shade of rose or peach such as M.A.C #Pinch Me and #Posey and pat away!

A kiss on the Lips:
Step 3: ‘Piano Piano’ less is more (BUT an un-moisturised chapstick demanding lip is NEVER a very kissable prospect!) SO ..a lil’ lip maintenance wont go amiss.
A twinkle in the Eyes:
Step 4a: oooh laaaaah laaaa! Its aaaaall in the apple pies this lesson-AND a lil’ (or a lot) sweet misty ‘hue’ is just the ticket! The devil Is aaall in the ‘brush-stroke’ for this wide- eyed beauty look SO arm yourselves with sed eye shadow AND blusher brush combo of choice (Tip: large brush makes light work!), your favourites shade of ‘wild!’ for the eye base, AND the piece de resistance- a super fabulous glitter pot (or 3) ! From then on in gals- its aaaall in the blend!

m.a.c pro pallete-individuals: RRP $32.95
Tip: Apply your matte eye-shadow colour firstly as a ‘base’. Using your eye shadow brush, take colour across lids- contouring to your individual eye shape (as you know ‘your’ eye best and what works for you), sweeping colour under the lower lid and towards the inner eye socket (blend blend! No harsh lines allowed!). Next, break out your blusher brush- AND with a ‘little’ extra colour tapped into the bristles: begin ‘sweeping’ the pigment up – and – around the eye area..creating a ‘misty hue’ around your now ‘defined and contoured’ eye shape. Heres where you get to play AS the world as they say ‘is your oyster’ when it comes to quantity application! Sometimes less is more BUT for some of us…sometimes more IS definitely MORE!
Step 4b: Gold leaf, hologram, classic red/silver/blue…NO glitter shade or texture is off limits for this twinkly look! AND as for the ‘glitter rules’- the only rule is: There are NO rules!
Tip: apply with fingers in a patting motion- paying special attention NOT to go too close to those delicate apple pies. And throughout the day: DON’T go a rubbing those tired eyes, hands off until eye makeup remover drenched cotton ball removal!
