Pure forms and taut lines – Belgian lingerie company Marie Jo L’Aventure is the epitome of design and has formed a unique partnership with fellow Belgian fashion duo A.F. Vandevorst to create a exclusive collection Marie Jo L’Aventure by A.F. Vandevorst. Indeed this was not a random choice, the Antwerp fashion duo were chosen for their pure somewhat androgynous urban style which runs parallel with Marie Jo L’Aventure’s style.  After appreciating a specially designed unique piece designed and crafted by An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx of A.F. Vandevorst for Marie Jo L’Aventure, they were given free reign to design a striking collection that is Marie Jo L’Aventure by A.F. Vandevorst.

The collection is composed of a fibrefill cup, a balconnet and a strapless bra, alongside a rio brief, shorts and g-string while an inclusion of the suspender belt completes the set. The knickers with transparent leg are reminiscent of briefs worn over skin-tone nylon stockings, further accentuating the layer effect. Natural light earth tone with skin tone tulle and charcoal tones with dark grey tulle holds the collection together.  The great thing about lingerie is the contrast between revealing and concealing and this is successfully conveyed through the Marie Jo L’Aventure by A.F. Vandevorst collection. A key piece is the revamped corsage where the use of transparent tulle and the mix of colours, lines and materials make this combo an immaculate design piece. The A.F. Vandevorst piece unique will be touring around Europe through September till November where after the European tour it will return to its hometown of Antwerp, Belgium where it will be exhibited in the entrance hall of the MoMu, Fashion Museum Antwerp December 7^th through to 19^th 2010.

• Denmark – Copenhagen: Illum, Ostergade 52, November 4th through November 14th
• Netherlands – Amsterdam: Bijenkorf, Dam 1, November 16th through November 28^th
