CARINE ROITFELD and Her Enduring Irreverence
Carine Roitfeld, according to Karl Lagerfeld, is the embodiment of the “ideal French woman”, and we happen to agree with him. Having shaped the face of fashion at French Vogue, launching Tom Ford’s career, and countless collaborations with uber photographer Mario Testino, Roitfeld has had a full and enviable career thus far. In retrospect of her work to date comes the launch of CARINE ROITFELD: Irreverent, an astounding collection of images and personal ephemera that give an insight into her creative process and playful sensibility.
As a preview, Tangent presents a sneak peek of a few of the pages from the book. Its list of contributors runs like a who’s who of the fashion elite: Anna Wintour, Olivier Zahm, Helmut Lang, Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford, Azzedine Alaia, Riccardo Tisci, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Mario Testino, Stefano Pilati, and of course Karl. Keep an eye out for its release in October.
