Mason Browne is a freelance costume designer, stylist, promoter, blogger, Sydney expatriate and man-about-town now stalking the streets, lanes and alleyways of Melbourne. A graduate of the NIDA’s Bachelor of Dramatic Art in Design, Mason’s interests span from period modes of dress to the most recent trends in haute couture.

A firm believer in networking as a means of creative collaboration and access to the freedom of ideas, you’ll see him at many a launch party or gathering of creatives in discussion. By night he’s the party and nightclub host, and one half of the gay disco inferno Closet. By day he’ll be experimenting behind his beloved vintage retro sewing machine or typing his thoughts into a witty blog post or two.

Having received a nomination for Best Costume Design at the Sydney Theatre Awards in 2008, Mason hopes to continue his dynamic career and blur the barriers between costume and fashion.
